"Auxines" exhibition by Objectif Collectif in Castelfranc

From June 7th to August 9th, 2026, at the Jardin des Sens in Castelfranc, the Art et Tradition association invites Objectif Collectif to exhibit around fifteen photographs on the theme of nature. The opening is scheduled for Sunday, June 7th at 11:30 am. I will be presenting a selection from my “Arbonirisme” series, produced in the Lot region.
Who is Objectif Collectif?
These are six women photographers from the Lot region: Isabelle Jan (Studio 8), Anne Laudouar, Cécile Plessis, Joey Joe-Ann Knoester (JJAK Photographe), Salomé Savy-Monceau (Hoop des bois), and myself. We initially came together to share our work, our techniques, offer advice, support each other, and chat about everything (a lot) and nothing (rarely). The desire to exhibit together quickly followed: nature was our common thread. So, we present six perspectives, six sensibilities, under the title “Auxines”.
Auxines — why this title?
Auxin is a plant hormone. It’s produced at the tips of shoots and guides growth towards the light. No force, no noise—just a gentle yet determined orientation towards what illuminates.
What’s beautiful is that auxin acts differently depending on where it’s found: it slows down where the light is strong, it accelerates where it’s in the shade—and it’s precisely this subtle imbalance that makes the plant bend towards the light.
The exhibition brings together six women photographers, each with their own perspective, each with their own unique relationship to nature—and yet something that guides us all in a common direction. A shared, subterranean energy, without needing to shout it, quite the opposite.
In the plural—Auxines—that’s us. Multiple sources, multiple impulses, a single movement towards the light.
This outdoor exhibition will be itinerant, moving from place to place like a plant seeking its sunlit spot…
